About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Personal Trainer with a strong background in functional training techniques to join our team. This role focuses on working with older adults to improve their strength, mobility, balance, and overall quality of life through personalized fitness programs. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in fitness training but also has a deep understanding of the unique needs of the aging population.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Program Design
Conduct initial assessments to understand clients’ physical abilities, goals, and health conditions.
Develop personalized fitness programs emphasizing functional movements, balance, and mobility.
Training and Guidance
Lead one-on-one and small group sessions with older adults, ensuring proper form and safety.
Incorporate exercises that improve daily living activities and prevent injury.
Modify exercises to accommodate medical conditions or physical limitations.
Client Support and Motivation
Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all clients.
Regularly monitor and track progress to adjust programs as needed.
Educate clients on the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle.
Safety and Professionalism
Ensure a safe workout environment by maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
Stay updated on the latest research in functional fitness and senior health.
Qualifications
Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE).
Specialized training or certification in functional fitness or senior fitness (e.g., Senior Fitness Specialist Certification).
CPR and First Aid certification (current).
Proven experience working with older adults in a fitness or rehabilitation setting.
Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and functional movement principles.
Skills and Attributes

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Experience
