The Flinchbaugh Company is a leader in custom machine shop services with a legacy dating back more than 75 years. Our services include CNC machining, painting, welding, grinding, assembly, and fabrication servicing public and private sector customers. The is a full-time position on our 1st shift with a typical work schedule Monday- Thursday 9 hours and 4 hours on Fridays.
SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician reports to the Vice President and Quality Manager. The Quality Technician monitors, conforms, and performs physical inspections to quality requirements in accordance with company quality policies and customer specifications.
DUTIES:
-Abide to the quality goals and adhere to ISO policies/work instructions/procedures set forth by the company.
-Demonstrates TRIP culture
-Complete receiving inspections while making sure that the material conforms to the customer’s requirements and the purchase order requirements.
-Complete, thorough, and accurate first piece inspections.
-Perform patrol inspections on the manufacturing floor.
-Perform final inspections for all customers.
-File and retain inspection records.
-Pull equipment for calibration when due and contact outside vendors when calibration needs to be scheduled or repairs need made.
-Control and maintain the gage inventory.
-Attend the MRB meeting and maintain the NCMR log
-Communicate with customers as the need arises.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
-Documentation: Analytical: Comprehend and Interpret Mechanical Drawings (including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing): Problem-Solving Skills: Strict Adherence to Policies, Procedures, and Requirements: Attention to Detail: Accurate: Good Communication with Customers, Coworkers, and Management: Microsoft Outlook Proficiency: Microsoft Excel and Word Proficiency: Ability to Use General Inspection Equipment to Check Parts (Micro Height, Gages, Calipers): Ability to Operate a CMM
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Minimum of a high school diploma and 5 years minimum of machine shop experience and 2 years minimum quality inspection experience.
