Are you an engaging Caregiver / Nursing Assistant (CNA, HHA, PCA) seeking a weekend schedule on a Day shift (6a -2p)? If you're seeking a comfortable home setting where the typical caregiver to resident ratio is a 1:3 then this is a role for YOU!
Come join The Geneva Suites team. We have multiple single-family homes available to service our communal residential home that provides assisted living services to our residents.
Great job for college students - nursing, pre-med, pre-therapy, or any healthcare field of study.
Shifts Available: Every other Weekend on Day (6a-2p)
Wage Range: $17.00 - $21.00 (depending on experience and certifications)
Support you'll have as a Care Partner:
- Nurses are available for support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- House Managers who also work the floor with you
- Regularly scheduled training to help you grow in your career
Care Partner Qualifications:
- Love to care for others
- Previous caregiving experience - preferably in an Assisted Living setting
- CNA/HHA certification preferred but not required
- Dependable and able to work a consistent work schedule that includes every other weekend
- Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English
- Patient with others
A day in the life of a Care Partner:
- Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence and abilities while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities (ADLs) such as shampooing of hair, showering/bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per residents care plan including medication administration
- Take and record vitals (temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration) as instructed
- Monitor and report changes in resident symptoms, behaviors, and conditions (both physical and emotional) to nursing team
- Document services performed and observations during shift in our electronic charting system (rTasks)
- Engage with residents - reading, talking, activities, looking through photos, etc
- Keeping the home clean and safe (sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, laundry)
- Report any issues with equipment or maintenance needed in the home
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
