What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Project Foreman position at The Gerelco Family of Companies?

The project Foreman is responsible for hourly and daily activities of the employees assigned to the project or his/her portion of the project.
Essential Functions
- Leads and completes the project in accordance with supplied blueprints, diagrams and/or instructions provided and to quality standards in accordance to applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Responsible to ensure that all materials, supplies, tools and equipment are safeguarded in a manner that prevents their unauthorized use or removal from the project site.
- Ensures team cooperation with other trades and or the General Contractor on the site.
- Ensures that materials and supplies on the project are stored in a neat and orderly fashion and that the job site is picked up before leaving each day.
- Provides instruction and guidance to reporting employees that enables them to work safely and efficiently.
- Participates in the advising, counseling, and coaching of all employees reporting to him/her.
- Operates equipment on the job site or may train and directs others to operate. Performs weekly DVIR on all jobsite equipment.
- Able to professionally interface with customers and other contractors on project
Work Environment
This job operates in various outdoor locations in any type of weather. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise is to be expected.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Employee must be able to work overhead, climb ladders, operate hand and power tools. Some work may be at heights up to and exceeding 90 feet and may be in confined spaces. Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Required Education and Experience
- Requires a minimum of 7 years trade experience.
- Employee must have and maintain a clean, valid CDL A or B Driver’s license
- Must have experience and be able to perform all of the duties required of the positions under him /her.
