Art Teacher

The Giggling Pig Milford is an art studio for children of all ages and exists to provide a friendly, affordable and caring environment for children. The Giggling Pig offers children’s’ birthday parties, art lessons, drop in craft sessions, after school enrichment programs and summer camp. Programs are offered for children of all ages, ranging from toddlers in a Mommy & Me class through adults.

The Giggling Pig Milford is currently looking for outgoing, creative individuals who LOVE working with children to join our growing team! We have a range of part-time opportunities on both weekdays and weekends.

Lead Instructor Role:

• Facilitating a one-hour after-school art enrichment programs using a pre-set curriculum in various elementary schools in the Greater Milford area.
• Instructing in-studio classes and programs on weekday afternoons and weekend mornings.
• Instructing two hour paint events for adults at varying locations.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have experience working with groups of elementary age (5-12 years old) children in a classroom environment (such as enrichment instructor, volunteer or camp counselor).
• The candidate must be available on weekdays after 2:30pm and one weekend day.
• The candidate must have a reliable car.
• The candidate must have an engaging & outgoing personality and comfortable working with children of different ages and skillsets.
• The candidate must be organized and independent.
• The candidate must have classroom management skills.

We will train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials. The Giggling Pig Milford classes follow the school calendar and are presented throughout the school year. For the right candidate, there will be plenty of additional opportunities both inside and outside of the studio, on weekdays, weekends and during the summer.
