Our Claims organization can provide you with the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives during their time of need.What’s in it for you?Work with internal and external customers to retrieve and relay information relevant to worker's compensation claimsProvide exceptional customer service using professional written and verbal communication skillsGather information, make sound decisions and draw appropriate conclusions using critical thinking and mathematical aptitude - Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to make ethical decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment with management oversightMaintain a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customersHelp to create a positive team environment that achieves Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and objectivesParticipate in weekly professional development and training workshops as well as network with fellow interns and Hartford professionals through the enterpriseWith meaningful work, all interns will have a better understanding of the insurance industry and network of professional contactsWhat is The Hartford looking for?Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts or any Business function with anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026Demonstrated leadership potential through extracurricular activitiesMust have a record of high achievement, self-motivation, ability to multi-task and accomplish competing prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical and research skillsAbility to analyze / reason through complex problems and make sound recommendations while consistently demonstrating honesty, integrity, courtesy and respect when interacting with othersCompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
