What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Associate position at The Hc Companies Inc?
To serve as an onsite resource for parts procurement and management for HC. Will inventory, store, and manage the onsite spare parts under the direction of the Parts Crib Supervisor and the Maintenance Manager. Will be responsible for accuracy and accountable for parts that are dispersed from the Parts Crib to HC Companies associates. Computer skills are required, familiarity with search engines and procurement processes a plus. Must be a motivated self-starter who can work with limited supervision.
Payband: Tech Level D
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and store incoming spare parts shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software/system.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder spare parts as needed to prevent stockouts.
Issue spare parts to production and maintenance personnel as per request.
Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with records.
Keep the spare parts crib clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations.
Identify obsolete or excess inventory and coordinate disposal or return to suppliers.
Collaborate with procurement and maintenance teams to optimize spare parts inventory levels.
Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
Provide training to new employees on proper procedures for accessing and using spare parts.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Familiarity with inventory management software/systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to inventory storage and handling.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
