Job Description
The Herbal Retail Store Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, educating customers on herbal products, and ensuring the smooth operation of the retail space. This role requires extensive knowledge of herbs, holistic health, and natural remedies, as well as the ability to assist customers in finding the right products for their wellness needs.
The ideal candidate is passionate about herbal medicine, friendly, and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to create a welcoming environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Education
- Provide thoughtful, knowledgeable guidance on herbal remedies, tinctures, teas, and holistic wellness products.
- Assist customers in selecting products that align with their health and wellness goals.
- Offer insights into herbal benefits, safety, and traditional uses.
Retail Operations
- Maintain a warm, inviting retail space that aligns with The Herbal Ritual’s ethos.
- Assist with restocking, organizing, and merchandising herbal products.
- Process sales transactions, handle cash and card payments accurately.
Inventory & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on new herbal products, formulations, and holistic healing trends.
- Assist in receiving and stocking new inventory.
- Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
Community & Brand Representation
- Represent The Herbal Ritual's values of integrity, sustainability, and holistic health.
- Participate in community events, workshops, or educational sessions (if applicable).
What We’re Looking For
✔ Passion for herbal medicine & holistic wellness—you love talking about plants and their healing properties!
✔ Retail or customer service experience, preferably in a wellness or herbal setting.
✔ Strong communication skills—the ability to educate and engage customers.
✔ Familiarity with Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, or Western Herbalism is a plus.
✔ Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
✔ Availability to work 32–40 hours/week, including Saturdays.
