Duties
- Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage inventory control to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients while minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and shift management.
- Collaborate with the catering team to plan and execute special events or large-scale functions.
- Monitor food production processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Strong skills in menu planning, food production, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of food service management principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements is a plus.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in shift management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in food handling or culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.
