Job Description: Cannabis Cultivation Tech
The Cultivation Tech is a hands-on role supporting indoor and outdoor cultivation. Responsibilities include all aspects of plant care, propagation, post-harvest processing, and greenhouse maintenance. This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager, contributing to successful cultivation operations and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of cannabis cultivation, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting.
- Support post-production activities such as harvest, drying, trim, weighing, and packaging.
- Follow established cultivation schedules and protocols to ensure consistency and quality.
- Aid in the maintenance of indoor grow rooms, monitoring environmental conditions, and adjusting settings as directed.
- Participate in outdoor cultivation activities, such as planting, weeding, and irrigation.
- Assist with the propagation and cloning processes under the guidance of experienced cultivators.
- Learn and apply integrated pest management strategies to identify and address issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a pest-free cultivation environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of cultivation activities, including planting dates, nutrient applications, and harvest yields.
- Provide data to the Lead Cultivators for analysis and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to local and state regulations governing cannabis cultivation practices.
- Assist in the implementation of compliance measures as directed by the Lead Cultivators.
- Work closely with Lead Cultivators and fellow team members to execute cultivation plans effectively.
- Communicate any issues or observations to the Lead Cultivators promptly.
Qualifications:
- Either industrial cannabis or farming/landscaping experience is a must
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certifications in horticulture or agriculture is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and follow directions closely.
- Basic understanding of plant care principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cultivation, including lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.
- VERY LABOR INTENSIVE. May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching as well as repetitive motions.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time in a greenhouse environment or outdoors in all conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Environmental Factors:
- Moderate to loud exposure to noise level.
- Must be able to safely operate farming machinery such as farm vehicles, trimming fans and handheld trimmers, as well as maintenance equipment such as weed whackers, hoes, etc.
- Must be comfortable working outside during various weather conditions, including high heat, dust, and rain.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures while working in freezers or coolers.
- Exposure to plant particulates through skin contact and inhalation including odor, that may cause allergic reactions to some.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
