A day in the life…

Wondering what a day in the life of an HR Business Partner at The Iowa Clinic might look like? You will:

  • Provide comprehensive consultation and support in the areas of talent management, performance management, FMLA and ADA administration, compensation, leader and employee development, employee relations, HR policies, and employment law
  • Be responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues which includes conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Administer a variety of HR processes including HR policy management, performance evaluation process, FMLA and ADA processes, and talent management initiatives.
  • Establish trusting working relationships and work closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide coaching to leaders one-on-one and in small groups and coordinate and facilitate learning and development opportunities for leaders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years of experience handling complex employee relations issues; working knowledge of multiple

human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, ADA/FMLA, diversity, performance and talent management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Must have experience coaching leaders and employees.

Certifications

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP preferred.
