Description
We are seeking an experienced Off Road Dump Truck Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically ADT to Load, haul, and unload materials using the articulated dump truck. This may include transporting soil, gravel, sand, rocks, or other materials between locations on the job site or to designated dumping areas safely and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but is not limited to the following:
- Safely operate an articulated dump truck according to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices. This involves understanding and operating the various controls, mechanisms, and features of the ADT.
- Load, haul, and unload materials using the articulated dump truck. This may include transporting soil, gravel, sand, rocks, or other materials between locations on the job site or to designated dumping areas.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to the equipment, property, or personnel. Conduct routine safety inspections of the ADT and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
- Perform daily and document pre-shift inspection on the articulated dump truck, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and greasing components. Notify the appropriate personnel of any required repairs or maintenance needs.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other equipment operators to coordinate tasks, ensure smooth operations, and promote a safe working environment.
- Complete required paperwork, such as daily logs, maintenance records, and incident reports, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with site preparation activities, such as grading, leveling, or compacting, using the ADT as directed by the project plan or supervisor.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
• QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL, AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experienced prefer.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation Fro/To multiple projects.
- Experience operating and maneuvering articulated dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to safely navigate job sites.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks, including climbing in and out of the truck, securing loads, and working in various weather conditions.
