What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Chef position at The Mast Farm Inn?
We are a historic Bed & Breakfast based in beautiful Valle Crucis, NC. Our Inn provides a rustic, cozy atmosphere for our guests and locals alike, and has been run by local families since it started as a business in the 1880s. Over the course of the property's development, the Inn has passed through a few local families' hands, and that close-knit family feel is something we always strive to uphold with our staff.
The Breakfast Chef is key in our guest's experience with us at the Inn. Many guests specifically mention our breakfast in their reviews as a highlight of their stay with us.
We are looking for a dedicated, friendly worker who strives for greatness and is committed to cultivating a family-friendly atmosphere.
Job Responsibilities:
- Come in on time and with a can-do attitude
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ dietary restrictions (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
- Make recipe and menu option suggestions based on guest feedback
- Inform front desk staff about daily specials for the coming week
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements:
- NC ServSafe Certified
- Willing and able to accommodate guests' dietary needs
- Have your own mode of transportation
