Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication administration logs.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques during medication preparation.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and educating patients about their medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for patients in critical care and acute care settings.
- Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold safety standards within the pharmacy.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable. We are willing to train on the job if you're interested in going down the Technician path.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Strong understanding of critical care practices and patient service principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
