Now Hiring Maintenance Mechanics to operate and maintain Automated People Movers (APMs) in Dulles, VA! EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY! Automated People Movers are guideway based, automated passenger transit systems that utilize automatic train controls.

Shifts: 6am-2:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm, 10pm - 6am- 2 weeks training – Video Classroom Training

Starting pay for the Technician is $29.50 per hour (1st Shift)

2nd shift: $31.71 per hour - 3rd Shift: $32.45 per hour

Basic Qualifications:

• Any type of automotive certification

• Fluently in English

• 3 years in auto mechanic industry

• Electrical or mechanical background, diesel, etc.

• No CDL

• DOT Physical required

• Must have Valid Driver's License

• 24/7, 365 days- Weekends required

• Midtown Offers 104 hours of PTO, accrued 8.675 per month to be used for (Sick/Holiday/Vacation)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working from oral, written, or electronically generated instructions perform skilled preventive maintenance, operations, adjustments, corrections, repairs, diagnosis or modifications to a variety of electronic/electro-mechanical equipment and components found in the APM system.
• Utilize a variety of procedures, manuals, drawings and schematics to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair the APM systems and components.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring equipment to test for defective wiring and connections, micrometers to check for excessive wear on component parts, and oscilloscopes/analyzers to troubleshoot, align, adjust, and calibrate circuits to effectively diagnose and repair systems.
• Document all activities regarding work performed on the systems. Complete documentation in prescribed format and in a timely manner.
• Operate central control in a safe and efficient manner using Company and customer guidelines.
• Conduct vehicle recovery activities as required in a safe and timely manner.
• Communicate over public address system and two-way radio systems.

Other duties may include:

· Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervisor/manager of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.

· Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.

· Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability required:

· Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in electromechanical field required.

· Knowledge of precise measuring instruments such as micrometers, oscilloscopes and analyzers required.

· Knowledge and experience in the analytical use of complicated written instructions, drawings and schematics.

· Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle, and have a satisfactory driving record.

· Must be able to pass post offer drug/alcohol test, physical exam and Ishihara test (Red Green).

· Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language fluently.

Education:

· Associates degree in Electronics or related field required.

· Certificate in Aviation, Automotive, or similar Electro-mechanical Technology preferred.
