Logistics Analyst Location: Norfolk, VA (Onsite at NECC/Little Creek)
The Moore Group is actively seeking a Logistics Analyst to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This position is based onsite at the NECC/Little Creek location.
Job Description:
- Conduct in-depth data mining and analysis using Non-Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) applications, including Relational Supply (RSUPPLY) and Organizational Maintenance Management System-Next Generation (OMMS-NG).
- Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving analysis on data extracts and databases.
- Develop solutions and provide actionable recommendations to enhance processes and systems.
- Assist with database reconciliation efforts.
- Provide both formal and informal training to team members through over-the-shoulder sessions.
- Offer on-site assistance and review system procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare presentations and conduct briefings for military and civil service personnel at various organizational levels.
- Occasional travel may be required, both within the continental U.S. (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS), for training, supply management inspections, and assessments.
Required Qualifications:
- Subject Matter Expertise in NTCSS applications, particularly RSUPPLY and OMMS-NG.
- Minimum Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum Experience: At least eight years of experience in Navy logistics and Navy logistics AIS (Automated Information Systems) management.
- Education Equivalency: Candidates with eight years of experience in Navy logistics and AIS management may substitute formal education.
- Clearance: Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance or higher. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Previous experience as a Navy Logistics Specialist, with extensive knowledge of RSUPPLY, OMMS-NG, and Integrated Barcode System (IBS).
- Navy Instructor certification (NEC 9595).
- Experience with End-Use Procedures and/or within the Navy Expeditionary Forces environment.
- Familiarity with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Configuration Management.
- Knowledge of Expeditionary Force Supply Operations and Expeditionary Table of Allowances (TOA).
- Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in MS Access and Excel, particularly for data mining and analysis.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience, skill set, references, and contract guidelines.
Other Information:
- Candidates must possess a current DoD Secret Clearance.
- Travel may be required, including overseas (OCONUS) travel.
- A passport is required for OCONUS travel.
