What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Administrator II position at The Nash Casino?

JOB SUMMERY: Under direct supervision of the Director of IT, provides advanced technical support for all Nash Casino computer-based systems; network infrastructures; telecommunications and data communication infrastructures; desktop workstations, operating systems, and desktop applications; backup/recovery systems; and virus control programs and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for deployment of all new PC hardware, printers, and desktop application software.
  • Installs and supports productivity tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Sage MAS90, etc.
  • Performs installs, upgrades and maintenance on servers, workstations, laptops, and printers.
  • Manage ticketing system
  • Supports phone system and cell phones, InTune Mobile Management.
  • Takes initiative to develop and implement solutions to problems that result in a more efficient and cost-effective systems and/or procedures.
  • Works with consultants and/or vendors involved in system implementations to ensure compliance with project contracts and to ensure scopes of projects are completed.
  • Responsible for being on call for support of critical systems 24 hours per day/7 days per week.
  • Provides consultation to users in the selection of appropriate PC and/or printer hardware for their specific application needs.
  • Complies with all policies and procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Resolve network issues using DHCP, and DNS.
  • Troubleshoot issues relate to TCP/IP issues.
  • Prioritize, align, and schedule OS and other infrastructure changes, deployments and upgrades as needed.
  • Configure and optimize multiple networking hardware.
  • Design and implement short- and long-term plans for certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements
  • Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
  • Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
  • Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Information Technology, MIS or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience will be considered. Industry certifications preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a New Hampshire Gaming License.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of computer science and the methods, techniques, practices, and procedures utilized in computer programming.
  • Knowledge of Linux and maintenance of Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of hardware.
  • Knowledge of information systems, technologies, and applications.
  • Knowledge in basic operation/support of VOIP Phone systems. (FreePBX)
  • Knowledge in the supporting Point of Sale systems. (Agilysys)
  • Knowledge in all phases of PC hardware setup, configuration, and routine support.
  • Knowledge in all phases of desktop system troubleshooting, repair, and problem remediation.
  • Must be proficient in basic systems support of Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2022 Server Operating Systems.
  • Must be proficient in the setup and administration of Office 365 Administration specific Azure AD with Ad sync
  • Must be proficient in support, update and administration of Microsoft desktop operating systems including Windows 10, and Windows 11.
  • Knowledge in use of various virus control software applications, i.e., Malware Bytes and email filter.
  • Knowledge in technical support and administration of comprehensive virus control program.
  • Knowledge in support and administration of comprehensive backup/recovery procedures. (Synology)
  • Knowledge in supporting data communications infrastructures and related hardware/software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under stressful conditions, make solid decisions, and exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to isolate system problems quickly and take proper corrective action.
  • Ability to understand and translate technical terminology and reports into a clear and logical format.
  • Skill in presenting and explaining technical information to others.
  • Skill in reviewing and interpreting complex technical documents, manual, journals, and instructions.
  • Skill in system troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of PFsense
  • Knowledge of Mesh Networking
  • Knowledge of Routing (BGP)
  • Knowledge of Docker/Containers.
  • Additional training may be required as part of position. All training must be completed within calendar year of assignment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member must use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Team Members frequently is required to walk, occasionally is required to stand; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to repeat the same movements.
  • Must be able to engage and interact with all guests appropriately and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to successfully communicate on a regular basis with all co-workers, vendors, and guests both in person and over the telephone.
  • Must be able to answer all inquiries and provide assistance and information in a professional and accurate manner.
  • Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted and can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
