- Plan, develop, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
- Create individualized activity plans based on resident interests and abilities
- Coordinate group activities that encourage socialization, physical exercise, and cognitive stimulation
- Lead and assist in activities such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, outings, and holiday events
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure activities align with residents' care plans
- Document and report residents’ participation and progress in activities
- Maintain inventory of activity supplies and ensure proper use and organization
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment that promotes resident engagement and well-being
- Certification as an Activity Director (preferred but not required)
- Experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to engage and motivate residents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for seniors
