Position Title: Strategic Growth Recruiting Manager – Legal
Location: Los Angeles or New York
Our client, a multinational law firm, is in search of a Strategic Growth Recruiting Manager specializing in legal recruitment in their LA or NYC office! This position offers an exciting chance to play a key role in driving talent acquisition and growth strategies within a professional and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Growth – Legal to develop and execute the annual strategic hiring plan, including leading the design and delivery of effective recruiting and sourcing strategies.
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from interview coordination and candidate evaluation to business case development, offer negotiation, and onboarding, with a focus on Associate-level hires. Support lateral Partner recruitment efforts and assist with the Summer Associate program as needed.
- Conduct research on potential candidates, monitor industry trends, and gather intelligence on market activity, peer firms, and other relevant data to support lateral recruitment.
- Partner with the Diversity & Inclusion team and Diversity Committee to promote the hiring of diverse talent.
- Work with the Strategic Growth team to implement targeted campus outreach and branding efforts, including designing newsletters, marketing materials, outreach emails, and maintaining the recruiting pages on the company website.
- Provide leadership and direction to the recruiting team, setting clear expectations, offering professional development opportunities, and contributing to performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with administrative teams on onboarding, conflict clearance, relocations, and related tasks.
- Support additional Strategic Growth initiatives, including occasional involvement in Partner-level hiring efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 5 to 8 years of recruiting experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services firm
- Experience managing a team is essential.
Skills:
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Team-oriented with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in affirmative action programs or Mansfield Certification is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: MS Office is required. Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as viDesktop, Leopard, or Lawcruit is a bonus!
