Job Title: Job Coach
FLSA: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Primary focus in on the orientation, adaption, and work skills development of workers with disabilities in various work sites. Assures that all work is performed
in accordance with contract obligations in production levels and quality. Assists and consults with rehabilitation planners in matters of worker vocational
development with concentration on behavior, work performance and productivity.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, a DSP must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists and consults with rehabilitation planners in matters of individual development with concentration on behavior, work performance and/or community participation.
- Promote and communicate The PLUS Company’s mission statement which is to “Empower Individuals, Maximize Independence”
- Responsible for supervision of groups or individual in their daily activities or work opportunities.
- Aids in activity/ job set up.
- Promotes an attitude of team work and quality in the day to day operations.
- Aids in recording and maintaining quality control standards.
- Works along with individuals in actual production with emphasis on training to achieve vocational goals.
- Submits production, payroll, attendance and daily data sheets to Vocational Manager.
- Maintains safety procedures for staff and individuals.
- Implements ISP objectives.
- Participates in ISP development as deemed necessary.
- Observes and records progress of individuals specific to ISP goals.
- Submits timesheet and travel sheets bi-weekly
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year employment in human services and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, consumers, and other employees of the organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver’s license with good driving record and an insured vehicle are a requirement of this position. Must undergo a criminal and driving background check and DPPC Registry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Employee may be expected to participate in the performance of PAC techniques, or other physical interventions designed to assist consumers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
