UT-Regional One Physicians is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Trauma Step-down. ICU experience required.
JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Nurse Practitioner performing a complete and accurate trauma history and physical according to established protocols.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; Additional training may be required for specialty areas. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adult and / or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.
EXPERIENCE : Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Preferred. Acute care training preferred. Experience in a trauma center will be considered in lieu of acute care training. Demonstrated ability to independently work and make clinical assessments. Additional experience may be required in assigned specialty area.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION : Current licensure as RN ior PA n State of Tennessee. Eligible for Certificate of Fitness (Prescriptive privileges) in State of Tennessee required. ACLS required, ATCN, ATLS strongly recommended.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Constant walking, standing; lifting and positioning patients / equipment; exposure to infectious agents. Visual acuity is needed to access color changes. Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 75 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (May be further defined as “with or without assistance.”)
