What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper, Camp Allegheny position at The Salvation Army Western PA Division?
The housekeeper will work under the direction of the Facility Manager to maintain the cleanliness of all public facilities, common areas and all guest housing in accordance with special events as well as summer camp.
This is a part-time, casual position at 10-20 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily cleanliness and upkeep of the Camp Allegheny facilities.
- Prepare for special events and summer camp program areas which include all guest housing, dining hall, public bathrooms, etc.
- Assist in the laundry as needed.
- Will serve as a liaison between guests of Camp Allegheny and leadership.
- Assist with set-up and tear down of events in all Camp Allegheny facilities.
- Must regularly maintain cleaning supply inventory and notify Facility Manager when items need ordered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to work independently as needed.
· Responsible for communication with guests of Camp Allegheny when needed.
· Will need to be a resource for guests around Camp Allegheny when leadership is not available.
· May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
· Attention to detail is pivotal for this position.
· All three PA Clearances, Request for Criminal Record, and fingerprint based federal criminal history.
· PA Mandated and permissive reporting and The Salvation Army’s KeepSAfe Training
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or Certified GED
· One to three years of experience
· Knowledge of Health and Fire Codes a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Some work on a ladder may be required.
