Overview
Camp Allegheny is seeking enthusiastic Camp Cafeteria Staff to join our team for the upcoming summer 2025 camp season. Cafeteria staff will direct and supervise the total kitchen operation and preparation of food according to the daily menu.
Duties
- Train/supervise kitchen staff in areas of cooking, cleanliness, food preparation
- Coordinate and participate in food planning and preparation
- Estimate cafeteria needs; order, receive and store food supplies
- Assist in organizing and implementing daily schedules and routines
- Direct/assist with deliveries of food and supplies for the kitchen
Experience
- Cafeteria, kitchen or previous experience as a cook
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of standards of food preparation, serving, and kitchen procedures
