TITLE: Data Integrity Manager
Supervised by: Director of Physician Integration
Supervise: Medical Transcription Services and Health Information Team
OVERVIEW: Data integrity is the maintenance of, and the assurance of the accuracy and consistency of data being entered or stored in our systems and the output of that data to support:
- decision-support initiatives
- participation in Value-based payment programs
- other initiatives supported by the START Center for Cancer Care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Active participant in the design, implementation and usage of the Electronic Medical Record to meet the START Center goals
- Review output and reporting to support The START Center for Cancer Quality initiatives, improvement projects and/or compliance audits.
- Proactively complete audits and reviews to ensure data is recorded exactly as intended and output is meaningful
- Provide Feedback to leadership and physicians regarding Quality Metrics based on output from the EMR.
- Coordinate EMR upgrades to include, but not limited to, staff education, upgrade testing, and status communications with the IT Department
- Supervise, coach and mentor EMR Coordinator
- Coordinate Medical Transcription including, Dragon One as well as physicians utilizing traditional dictation and transcription services with third party vendor.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of Varian – Aria EMR is preferred, although not required. 5 years working with EMR including all aspects, installation, upgrades, maintenance, training. 5 years reviewing charts and/or data. Ability to use MS-Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS-Word. Proactive and problem solving.
