What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Installer position at The Tustin Group?
Summary :
Performs all aspects of HVAC work including assembly, installation, and replacement of HVAC equipment including pipes, fittings and fixtures, and ductwork while maintaining job requirements and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Coordinates delivery of all material requirements for job.
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Installs HVAC equipment according to plans, drawings, and codes.
Performs measurements for sheet metal projects.
Designs and installs sheet metal applications with limited plan documents.
Installs copper, PVC and refrigerant piping in accordance with proper piping practices.
Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent and caulk joints.
Orders materials for jobs.
Liaison with project manager of job status and completion.
Completes administrative paperwork related to job(s) in a timely and accurate fashion.
Coordinates daily with field coordinator to update manpower requirements, materials and tools and pickups and deliveries.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Skills :
Minimum of 10 years' experience (commercial experience preferred)
Vocational or Associate Degree in mechanical systems, electronics, or similar field preferred.
CFC License.
Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record to drive a company issued vehicle.
Should be flexible in your schedule and be able to work in an on-call rotation.
Able to pass a pre-employment substance screening and background check.
Willingness and desire to provide our clients with a superior customer service experience
Physical Demands :
Work is mostly performed in an outdoor setting with some tasks in an office environment.
Hand-eye Coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to stand and talk or hear, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
Must be able to climb ladders and work heights.
Occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment :
Normally works in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high, precarious places.
Exposure to wet and humid conditions, airborne particles and confined spaces.
