Overview
The Ulven Companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating saws and other machinery to cut materials according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and quality inspection processes. Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor various types of saws (band, circular, hacksaws, grinder)
• Deburr and/or grind various metal parts.
• Set up and adjust saw settings for different materials and specifications
• Load, unload, and secure materials on saw tables or conveyors
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cutting lists
• Measure, mark, and cut materials to specified dimensions and tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and blade replacements on saw equipment
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and log completed work
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Optimize cutting processes to minimize waste and meet production quotas
• Understand properties of various materials and adjust cutting techniques accordingly

Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing or metalworking
• Understand properties of various materials being cut (e.g., metals, plastics, composites)
• Basic mathematics and measurements
• Understanding of basic metallurgy and material properties
• Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
• Familiarity with quality control standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders
• Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
• Basic computer skills for data entry and digital work orders
• Forklift certification, a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
