Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Community Partnership Team Lead provides response team preparation, oversight, and availability to the sports venue care teams and other community first aid and health-related events. This role supports the Community Venues Supervisor, the professional sports organizations, and the University of Kansas Health Care System. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, leadership competencies, and the ability to work flexible hours to meet the necessary variable on-site presence.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for supporting the Community Partnerships Supervisor in day-to-day first aid and other defined clinical care operations at all system-contracted community venues.
- Responsible for coordinating response teamwork assignments and staffing coverage related to the demand across all venue locations.
- Fulfills one of the staffing roles as needed across all venues.
- Models professional practice and communication through collaboration with staff, leadership, patients, families and physicians.
- Interacts positively and professionally with evidence of conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with co-workers, patients, family, and guests.
- Assists with new staff orientation, ongoing staff education, and necessary competency validation.
- Supports community Venue supervisor with data tracking, reporting, and analysis across all venues.
- Employs applicable performance improvement methodologies and lean thinking in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating practice, workflows, and processes that support efficient and effective care delivery and service.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and Experience
- BSN RN
- Pre-hospital EMS/EMT experience 2 or more years of experience working in sports venues or leadership in a customer-focused industry
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and prioritization skills
- Ability to work well under stress
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve
