Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for assisting certified teachers in providing quality academic and enrichment activities in the True Blue Neighbors Youth Scholars program (TBNYS).
Essential Responsibilities:

- Assist with classroom instruction and supervision of students.
- Assist with program attendance.
- Support a safe, equitable, learning environment for students of all racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Supervise outside inside and outside extracurricular activities.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that support the academic development of students and meet the goals of the TBNYS program.
- Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
- Check classroom/program equipment to ensure they are in good condition.
- Attend all required professional development and training opportunities.
- Attend family engagement events and activities.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work with others as a member of a team.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with children
- Computer literacy skills
- High School diploma or GED
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous K-12 program experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to walk, stand, and sit during program and training sessions. Light occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
