Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and supporting the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Duties
- Engage with customers to provide outstanding service and support.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing basic math skills for cash handling.
- Support sales initiatives through effective upselling techniques.
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare espresso-based drinks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.
- Adhere to all food handling guidelines to ensure quality and safety.
Requirements
- Strong basic math skills, including familiarity with counting cash for the till
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in cafés or quick service fast food restaurants, required
- Knowledge of food handling practices
- Valid food handlers permit
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Barista experience (2 years required)
- Must possess valid MAST permit within 7 days of hiring
Available Shift:
- Friday - Sunday 7am - 6pm
