Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping management, with experience in hotel or industrial cleaning environments. This role is crucial for ensuring that all guest areas are clean, safe, and welcoming, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimize staff productivity while meeting the needs of the establishment.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding cleanliness promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and custodial practices is essential.
- Strong understanding of industrial cleaning standards and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to lead by example, motivating team members to achieve their best work.
Candidate will undergo a training/probationary period at a starting rate of $21/hr. After training is complete and job title of Supervisor is officially applied, the hire will receive a rate increase.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
