This position is responsible for dispensing medication directly to patients, updating computer systems and maintaining other records as designated to comply with State and Federal policies. Work Start Time is 6:45 AM Saturdays; specific days may be selected. Clients will be served in person.
Three general functions comprise this position:
- Administer/dispense methadone and buprenorphine in accordance with Michigan State and Federal regulations and in accordance with prescribing physician orders.
- Performing urinalysis sample collection and test result entry.
- Perform administrative functions, which includes welcoming clients and directing clients to counseling, medical and dosing appointments.
The specific tasks are as follows:
- Record dispensing transactions in designated computer systems.
- Document monthly notes on patients, including dosing results and test results.
- Update medical records including client charts, medication charts, dosage records, and progress notes as required.
- Interact with the physicians and counseling staff to coordinate patient treatment.
- Maintain the dispensing room and equipment in a clean and orderly state.
- Understand the clinical benefits and limitations of urine screens, toxicology, and other testing procedures.
- Knowledge of CPR and Basic Life Support.
- Other related duties as requested.
