Clinical Nurse Specialist/Clinical Practice Leaders are responsible for the following:
Coordinates/delegates aspects of care to team members in order to meet patient needs.
Demonstrates professional accountability and serves as a role model for staff nurses.
Evaluates work environment and implements changes to improve overall patient care.
A Clinical Nurse Specialist/Clinical Practice Leader is a registered nurse who demonstrates a high degree of professional competence in a specialized nursing field. The
Clinical Nurse Specialist/Clinical Practice Leader should be able to apply a wide range of alternatives/strategies in problem-solving situations utilizing the nursing process. Qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Nursing
Five (5) years of nursing experience
BCLS/ACLS certifications required
