As a professional supervising Housekeeper on our team, you’ll take pride in cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of our locations to help keep our residents happy and healthy. Integrity and attention to detail are also two must-have tools that you keep in your cleaning case. By helping us create clean, safe, and orderly environments for our residents, you’ll pave the way to more opportunities for yourself at Thomas Rest Haven! *Job Responsibilities* * Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service toward residents, visitors, and co-workers. Is adaptable to customer needs. * Maintains all assigned resident rooms and department areas and corridors in a clean neat and sanitary manner, to protect safety and health of others and in compliance with accurate preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in department policy. * Inspects and uses judgment in determining which cleaning techniques outlined in orientation guidelines to follow. * Demonstrates efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions and responsible for observing staff to ensure proper use. * Ensures the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and supplies, using germicides and sterilizing equipment. * Diligently employs universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials. * Keeps cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensures all chemicals are accurately labeled, recorded in the SDS Manual and all equipment is in good working condition. * Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, always maintains professional conduct. * Responsible for improving productivity and efficient operations of the department. * Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to Iowa Health Care Association and departmental training commitments. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
