Thompson’s Landscape Maintenance is looking for an EXPERIENCED, MOTIVATED, & RELIABLE individual to be a team player of their Irrigation Department. PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from Work.
• Must have Knowledge of domestic and irrigation systems.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, friendliness and ability to build rapport required
• Must have a sense of pride, integrity, self-motivation, attention-to-detail, perseverance, follow-up skills and dependability
• Must display professionalism and desire to please potential and existing customers
• Must enjoy working independently and/or with a small crew
• Must be honest, reliable and trustworthy

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of sprinkler system start up/winterization
• Sprinkler system adjustments and repairs
• Knowledge of how to operate sprinkler timers and adjust valves
• Chemical applications
• 1 year lawn mowing with commercial grade mowing equipment (riders and walk behinds)

• 1 year string trimming and edging

JOB DUTIES:

Job duties include but not limited to

• Ability to diagnose and repair irrigation issues
• Ability to dig a hole
• Complete lawn care & landscape maintenance (mowing, string trimming, edging, blow off hard surfaces, weeding, pruning, aeration, fertilization)
• Must be able to follow directions
• Regular attendance throughout the busy season and all meetings
• Demonstrate teamwork

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work 40-45 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, to generate results (Saturdays are optional unless we are rained/snowed out during the week)
• Must possess physical ability and stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work long hours at any time of the day or night during the snow removal season
• Requires constant stooping, standing, walking and lifting
• Requires mental alertness and situational
