What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOSPICE ON CALL RN OR LPN position at Three Rivers Hospice, Inc.?
On-Call Staff work 7 days primary, 7 days back up then 7 days off. This position is full salary for having every third week off!! Also pays mileage! On call RN's and LPN's answer calls and make after hour visits when needed and RN's complete after hours admissions and LPN's assist with after hour admissions. The service area of this position is less than a 40 mile radius around Platte City.

Responsibilities
- Provide on-call nursing care to hospice patients, ensuring comfort and dignity during end-of-life care.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering medications and treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on care procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license
- Proficiency in patient care and assessment
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with critical care and long-term care environments
- Strong communication skills
