Job Title: Cocktail Server

Position Summary
The Cocktail server will provide excellent service to all guests while taking and serving beverage orders and handle all financial transactions accurately. Must verify that all guests requesting alcoholic beverages are of legal age by checking proper identification at all times. Cocktail servers will be required at all times to follow proper policies and procedures for serving alcoholic drinks in accordance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol. Cocktail servers must have exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor towards both guests and co-workers. The cocktail server will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure safety and cleanliness at all times.
- Must provide a high level of customer service to all guests.
- Make good and proper decisions that reflect positively on you and the casino.
- Wait on guests throughout the casino floor.
- Take and deliver drink orders, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
- Assist bartenders when needed.
- Assist in keeping bar area clean and chairs pushed in.
- Assist in keeping table tops wiped down and cleaned.
- Ensure proper portion control.
- Ensure proper and legal serving of alcoholic drinks.
- Ability to handle fast paced areas.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk the casino floor as needed.
- Must be able to identify intoxicated patrons.
- Must abide by responsible serving and ABLE laws.
- Must maintain compliance with health/ABLE/internal Policy and procedures at all times.
- Any other duties assigned or requested by management.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Must be able to stand and walk the casino floor for long periods of time.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to perform basic math functions; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Knowledgeable of Federal/state/Tribal Employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; skilled in working in an environment subject to constant interruptions and quickly changing priorities.
- Ability to function in a professional manner during high stress/volume situations.
- Ability to learn quickly, self-leader with initiative, highly flexible and comfortable in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge and ability to use registers and credit card machines.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities, but will work in all areas throughout the casino.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Exposure to smoking and secondhand smoke.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and obtain a key gaming license.
- Must be able to obtain a liquor license.
- Must wear a uniform of a short dress or shorts and heeled boots/shoes.
