Position Summary

The Slot Technician is responsible for ensuring that every machine is up and running properly. The Slot Technician will be in charge of handling all repairs and maintenance of the slot machines. Slot Technicians will assist customers with questions, while providing excellent Customer Service. Slot Technicians will routinely diagnose any malfunctions with the slot machines and report any and all question or concerns to the Slot Supervisor and/or Slot Manager. The Slot Technician will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Repairing machines on the casino floor.
• Maintain and monitor the operations of electronic gaming devices.
• Participate in any form of movement of slot related equipment.
• Perform tasks for installation and removal of any slot related equipment.
• Respond to machine calls in a timely manner.
• Communicate with other slot techs efficiently.
• Replenish machine papers.
• Push in chairs on the casino floor.
• Assist customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain proper compliance at all times.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times.
• Ensures Thunderbird quality customer service and cheerful atmosphere maintained in your department.

Qualifications

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to respond to customers in a timely manner.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of cash and ticket handling procedures.
• Knowledge of Tribal/State/Federal laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission (NICG) and the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret and respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory responsiblites.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
• Ability to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.

Work Environment

• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
• Noise level can be minimal to intense.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and obtain a key gaming license.
• Casino experience preferred.
