Job Overview
The Director of Dining Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dining operations within our life plan community. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can manage a diverse team, ensure exceptional food quality, and maintain high standards of service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and fine dining, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement and maintain food service functions at levels of high resident satisfaction.
- Plan and implement cyclical menus, to be reviewed by a qualified dietitian, to provide balanced, nutritious and attractive meals.
- Develop cycle menus, to be reviewed by a qualified dietitian, based on residents' dining preferences and needs, modify menus seasonally to take advantage of seasonal items .
- Ensure implementation of less restrictive diets where appropriate and as requested by the resident.
- Provide attractive special diets for residents with diet restriction.
- Cooperate with other departments in maintaining a program of special/seasonal events on a regular basis.
- Maintain purchasing, receiving, inventorying, production and quality control specifications and procedures to assure effective and efficient coordination with menu planning.
- Ensure a high level of food service involvement in resident care planning and evaluating dietary needs.
- Maintain, in cooperation with Maintenance Director, a preventative maintenance program for all food service equipment.
- Maintain a schedule for the procurement/ replacement of dietary equipment.
- Maintain appropriate in-house sanitation manuals and schedules for quality assurance and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- It is part of my job duties to ensure resident safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
