Cloud Platform Engineer (remote)

Tier4 is seeking a resource to lead thedevelopment of technical and/or business requirements in platform engineering, DevSecOps enablement, and AWS Cloud enablement. The work will include but not limited to: strategies and actions that facilitate version control, software build processes, technical process improvements, updating innersource libraries, supporting Cloud and Container platforms, software deployment, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and configuration as code.

Minimum qualifications:

• Expert in the field of DevSecOps capabilities and AWS Cloud platforms to support projects.
• Developing and maintaininginfrastructure as code and configuration as code using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Developing and maintainingcontainerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration tools.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or BASH and batch commands
• Configuration of continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
• Administration of GitHub, GitHub Advanced Security, and GitHub Actions
• Collaborating with development and operations teamsto define artifact management requirements and integrate Artifactory into CI/CD pipelines.
• Supplier must have setup, scripting, and configuration skills using Ansible
• Strong communications

• Strong ability to work independently

The consultants responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:

Provide proactive daily support for DevSecOps capabilities and AWS Cloud platforms with participants on project teams.

Provide proactive experience-based advice regarding DevSecOps capabilities and AWS Cloud platforms.

Produce and deliver documentation regarding functionality and operations of tools, processes, and support capabilities around tools and software build functions.Documentation shall contain points discussed and agreed upon with stakeholders, and shall be uploaded to the appropriate repository.

Produce and deliver status reports containing all points discussed and agreed upon with stakeholders and shall be uploaded to the appropriate repository .

Participate in any applicable reviews with the project teams.

Lead proactive efforts on the packaging of code and its deployment to environments.

Implement security best practices that align with procedures.

Produce infrastructure as code to support infrastructure utilized by projects.

Produce configuration as code to support systems utilized by projects.

Participate in the configuration of production environments and deployment to applications.Document fully steps taken including troubleshooting.

Knowledge transfer at the end of the period of service to appropriate members of the team.Validate that the knowledge transition contains all points discussed with Management staff.
