Job Summary:
The Packaging Tech 1 is an entry level position. During work hours, the Tech 1 must be able to lift 35 lbs. repeatedly, and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Work a shift ranging from 8-12 hours in a day. They must have the ability to properly set up stations and start all equipment present on the packaging line. Must be able to load product, glue, seal boxes with operation of a glue gun, stack, label and wrap pallets for warehousing. Must be able to perform these tasks repetitively. Workers must use proper sanitation in the general product packaging area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up stations for daily operations
- Repacking beverages in cartons.
- Perform quality control
- Moving materials from one station to next
- Seal each case and apply date stamp
- Palletize cases (multiple configurations)
- Ability to use a pallet wrapper safely (training available)
- Ability to use an electric pallet jack safely (training available)
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
- Willingness to work in other departments as needed
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a comprehensive background check, in line with Company Policy
- Ability to work varied hours including weekends
- Comply with all safety standards
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- The individual in this role must have the ability to frequently reach, twist, stoop, bend, crouch, stand and walk for 8–12-hour shifts. Employees may be required to work overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. repeatedly and maneuver up to 180lb kegs.
- Work 8 hour shifts when business demands
