Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform all material handling and control operations for Shipping and Receiving Operate company vehicle to make pick-ups and deliveries of material between local community and plant (seldom over 5 mile radius) Use mechanized and manual material handling aids as necessary to transport and position material following established methods and procedures Locate and identify items. Count and/or verify count as necessary. Stack items on pallets or load into bins as required Receive incoming materials such as compounds, wire, and store for future use Transport, move and handle material within department as required Exercise care in handling and stacking items to avoid injuries to others, damages to supplies, product or equipment Check fuel, lubricate, and coolant in equipment Detect and report defective material, faulty operation and unusual conditions to supervision Follow prescribed Safety Regulations Assists with all/any other projects as required
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of MRP Systems (preferably Oracle) Experience in warehouse processes Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
