JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting student development. Instructors will teach LEGO based enrichment classes after school at various school sites.
ABOUT YOU
You enjoy playing with LEGOs and teaching children in a professional, but fun manner. You are a responsible, energetic, and motivated self-starter with an aptitude for enriching and guiding children through problem solving and advanced concepts. You prefer a flexible schedule that works with you.
- Teach enrichment classes at various school sites using our custom kit and curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a strong educational community.
- Maintain equipment on a regular basis - this includes charging small laptops and sorting the kits on a weekly basis at home.
Experience
- Must have a valid state issued Identification.
- Must have a smart phone.
- Must be tech savvy – able to use Google Calendar, email, text, navigation, troubleshoot technical issues, and have basic knowledge of Windows-based computers.
- Must be willing to be fingerprinted, background-checked and TB tested.
- Must be willing to use Uber/Lyft if you don't have a car. (Ride expenses might be reimbursed).
- Must have a GED.
- Must be responsible and committed with excellent communication skills.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE (any of the following areas)
· Fundamental understanding of mechanisms (gears, pulleys, motors, levers etc)
· Teaching / Instructing (summer camps, day care, after school programs)
· Robotics (LEGO specific or otherwise)
Other Information:
- Hours are dependent on employee availability, but currently average a fluctuating 10 hours a week.
- Paid training is provided.
- Classes are usually 1 hour long and generally begin between 1:30 and 3:30 depending on the school. Camps are 3 hours long and are held between 1 pm and 4 pm June-August.
- For each class or camp, instructors are paid for 30 minutes prep time before class and 30 minutes cleanup time after class.

The mission of Tiny Techs Club is to encourage creativity in science and technology in children at the elementary and middle school levels using our unique curriculum in Robotics. We use LEGO’s, software, and fun themes to teach children fundamentals in mechanics, building, programming and problem solving.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week
