Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our Behavioral Health team at our hospital in Kansas City, MO. This position offers a chance to work directly with adult patients in a hospital setting, providing support and monitoring in a fast-paced, clinical environment. The shift is 12 hours overnight with no weekend or call obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being
- Assist with patient activities and daily routines
- Provide support during therapy sessions or group meetings
- Record patient behavior and report concerns to nursing staff
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to treatment protocols
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certification in mental health preferred)
- Experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred
- Ability to manage patient behavior in a calm and effective manner
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
- Ability to work overnight shifts
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
