TLC Management is Hiring a Payroll and Benefits Specialist Near Marion, IN

Overview

The primary purpose for this position is multi-facility payroll and benefits processing according to TLC policy/procedures and federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll for the assigned TLC facilities. This includes:
    • Conducting all job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set forth in TLC Management’s Code of Business Conduct and applicable federal/state laws and professional standards;
    • Gathering employee payroll information from each facility;
    • Performing daily payroll tasks and support;
    • Performing a payroll analysis for each facility;
    • Processing the perfect attendance payments and performing their audits;
    • Processing YMCA reports;
    • Processing garnishments, child supports, interrogatories, etc.;
    • Processing Union Dues Reports for unionized facilities;
    • Invoicing locations for payroll services as directed;
    • Processing ADP invoices for payment;
    • Performing Talx Reporting; &
    • Maintaining current and accurate information in the system (i.e., time/attendance (eTime), accruals, FMLA, schedules, Payex, Anthem, ADP Cobra, HR-B).
  • Processing benefits for the assigned TLC facilities. This includes:
    • Processing facility health and dental enrollment forms in a timely fashion. Working with facilities to ensure forms are received timely;
    • Transmitting forms to Insurance Carrier;
    • Auditing hours worked for payroll and benefits purposes;
    • Processing Life Insurance enrollments;
    • Auditing insurance billings as assigned;
    • Processing COBRA per timelines and regulations;
    • Processing health insurance notifications for child supports, garnishments, wage agreements, etc.; and
  • Working with HR Coordinators to resolve issues at the facility level for individual coverage problems.

Qualifications

  • Must possess specific educational and experience requirements such as:
    • A high school diploma or GED; &
    • 1-3 years previous experience working in Payroll, HR or a Benefits capacity.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the principles of best payroll & benefits practices.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills such as:
    • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions, function independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action;
    • Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel;
    • The ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel;
    • Judgment in prioritizing the performance of tasks, duties and responsibilities in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures;
    • The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPPA;
    • Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning;
    • The ability to adhere to professional code of ethics, and
    • The ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition to the appropriate staff members.
    • Knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel and minor office machines such as faxes and copiers; &
    • The ability to work Monday-Friday during normal business hours and the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Desired qualifications include:
    • An Associates Degree or higher in a Business, HR , Accounting or related field.
