Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of AI strategies that align with organization goals and objectives
- Establish a robust AI validation and approval process for use cases and vendors, ensuring compliance across the state
- Drive the adoption of standardized AI processes
- Establish and lead an AI Center of Excellence for the state, setting standards, providing training, and promoting best practices
- Provide guidance on AI direction, opportunities, and risks
- Evaluate both closed-source and open-source AI capabilities
- Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in AI and Big Data
- 6 years of experience:
- AI
- Cloud platforms/environments
- Leadership skills
- Programming languages and scripting tools
- Prior leadership role in AI and Big Data initiatives
- Proven experience with establishing proof of concept success criteria and evaluating AI solutions against criteria
- Proven track record of cross-functional enterprise-level coordination
- Strong technical skills with hands-on experience in AI tools and platforms
- Background in a variety of programming languages and principles
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and AI
- Advanced degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or related field
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
