GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)
This position will fill a new role, providing support the TNT electrical department in Santee, California, on small to large materials handling projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Responsibilities
- Provideelectrical/controlspresenceintheSantiago,Chileoffice,andcoordinatewiththe overall electrical/controls team located in Santee, California.
- Performelectrical/controlsleaddutiesforprojectproposalsbasedoutofSouthAmerica; including, reviewing RFQ specifications, technical bid evaluations for equipment packages, preparing cost estimates, and technical input into proposal documentation
- Performingengineeringdesignandrelatedduties;including,developingprotectionand control schemes, equipment specifications and selection, management of vendor / equipment suppliers, power distribution layouts, grounding / lightning design, lighting, schematic and wiring design
- Manageelectricalsubcontractorsandvendors
- EnsurecompliancewithbothclientandTNTtechnicalspecifications
- ReviewTNTpurchaseorderstovendors(suppliers)andapprovequantitiesandtechnical specifications
- Engineeringcoordinationwithstructuralandmechanicalengineeringdepartments
- IdentifyingscopeandschedulechangesinaccordancewiththeChangeControlProcess
- Maintainingandplanningcostcontrolforallscopesofwork
- EnsuringthatdesignscomplywiththerelevantCodes,Standards,Regulationsand Procedures
- Otherdutiesasassigned

- Monitorworkenvironmentforhealthandsafetyhazardsorinfractionsandreportsthe same to Health and Safety Department
- Keepworkareacleanandfreeofclutter
- Useproperequipmentforthejob

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- EngineeringDegreefromarecognizedUniversityorProfessionalInstitution,alongwitha Professional Engineering designation or ability to register as a Professional Engineer
- Minimumof7years'industrial,mining,orprocessplantexperience
- Previouson-siteconstruction/commissioningexperiencerequired
Certificate(s), License(s), Registration(s)
- CETorProfessionalEngineerwith(P.)designationpreferred
- PMPdesignationoraccreditationpreferred
