What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Parts Salesperson position at TNTX, LLC?
Purpose of Position: Under the supervision of Parts Manager, the Outside Parts Salesperson is responsible for achieving maximum sales volume by calling on developing relationships with customers.
Supervises: N/A
Essential Job Functions:
· Solicits parts business from assigned accounts through face to face and phone contacts.
· Prospects for new customers and develops the sales territory.
· Answers the phones and takes orders.
· Assists the customer in finding correct parts, prices, and availability.
· Researches parts request and process orders. (Pull parts to specify for customers’ needs.)
· Advises the customer of any changes in his orders.
· Calls back all customers and/or send them e-mail when the customer requests information.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to write short correspondence.
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizations.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Must have basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Education:
· One year certificate from college or technical school.
Preferred Experience:
· Three months to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
