Position: Quality Control Manager
Industry: Japanese Food Manufacturing Company(vegetable/produce)
Location: Ontario, CA/ Inland Empire area
Pay: up to $100K (DOE) plus benefits
Status: Full time/Direct hire
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm
Job Duty:
・Ensures that all Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies and practices are maintained and followed and that products distributed by the company are within food safety and quality specifications
・Manages Quality Assurance staff to ensure they perform verification, validation, and quality duties properly
・Ensures adherence to OSHA, FDA, FSMA, GMP’s, HACCP, SOP’s, Organic, Non-GMO, SAI Global regulations and policies
・Daily review of food safety and quality records to ensure compliance with company’s Food Safety and Quality programs and to recommend corrective actions
・Provide independent oversight of the production lines, record the product weight, bag seals, code, and test the metal detectors
・Conduct routine internal audits and review of all policies and procedures related to industrial safety, pre-operational sanitation inspections, GMP inspections, pest control inspections, etcetera
・Be the QA Manager and QA Lab Team Leader backup during their absence in all their responsibilities
・Other responsibilities assigned
Qualifications:
・Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
・5 years of management experience in a food manufacturing environment working in or with Production, Quality Control, Inspection, or Sanitation
・Quality control experience in vegetable/produce manufacturing environment
・HACCP and FSMA certification. SQF or BRC certification preferred
・Previous experience with R&D projects and new product development preferred
・Spanish language skill preferred
・Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
