TOPS Staffing has partnered with a growing manufacturing company who is currently looking to hire a shipping technician for their warehouse team.
In this position you will be responsible for packing and crating all outgoing shipments from our facility. We are looking for a candidate who has prior experience working with one or more of the following: UPS, DHL, or FedEX shipping systems.
In addition to shipping you will be tasked with using hand and power tools to build build wooden frame work around palatized units being shipped out. Need to be ok using a chop saw, screw or nail gun and have the ability to build frame work around units to keep them secured during the shipping process.

Located in RIDC West Industrial park
Hours: 9am to 5:30pm – Monday to Friday schedule
Payrate: Up to $18 per hour based on experience

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Packing and crating of finished products
- Weighing of various items for shipment and printing labels for the following carriers UPS, DHL, FEDEX and other general trucking companies
- Utilize computer to assist with paper work and documentation including customs paperwork when required
- Stocking of incoming packaging inventory
- Forklift operation
- Crate building – involves using a saw and nail gun or hammer to build shipping crates
- Some internal material handling around facility may be involved in this position
- Education: High School diploma/ GED required
- One year of prior warehouse or shipping experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience using computer for data input and ordering and printing shipping labels
- Any sort of mechanical aptitude is a big plus for this position, mainly helps with the crate building function of the role when its required
- SAP experience is preferred but not required
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to be on your feet for entire shift
- Position requires constant physical movement, standing, bending, kneeling, stretching, and lifting
