Quality Inspector

TOPS Staffing has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find a Quality Inspector for its growing daylight shift operations.

In this position you will be tasked with performing quality inspections and documenting findings of incoming material, in process pieces and final inspections. The products your inspecting will change on a regular basis, but most will be related to military or aeronautic applications.

Job Details:
Contract to hire
Daylight shift opportunity
Hours: 6am to 2:30pm
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Occasional Saturday may be required
Pay: $16-$18 per hour

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform first article inspection
• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials
• Perform in-process
• Perform final inspection of finished products
• Document inspection findings as you perform checks
• Use of Calipers, micrometers, tape measure and other dimensional measuring devices.
• Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated before use.
• Work with production to help understand product specifications.
• Prepare non conformance reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand blue prints, drawings and work instructions
• Ability to read and utilize precise measuring equipment.
• Possess a strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Excellent Attendance record

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on occasion
